from 38 reviewsI expanded on your thoughts and collage art within the pages of this book and would love to share with you after I finish. Thanks so much, Christopher
This is a truly wonderful way to remember our pet family members.
They say there are "dogs are dogs" people and "dogs are people" people. Jacqueline's magnificent book transformed me from the former to the latter. Every page, beautifully photographed, written and designed, is a poignant testament to the power of our pups. Dante, my 15 year old mutt, has touched the life of me, my children and now my tiny grandchildren. May he meet Boris one day in whatever place dogs go.
I love this book! It is a thoughtful, beautifully designed, creative, heartfelt way to memorialize your beloved dog. When I received mine for my Sophie, the beauty of it set off lots of tears. Today, it sits prominently on my coffee table; I see it every day and I cherish this book.
Every page makes you smile, even though one has suffered a loss. The smile comes with the feeling the consciousness of having been incredible lucky. Lucky to have had the love, trust and friendship of this incredible furry being one just lost. Its a book to come back to over and over when heart ache is present.
Jaqueline, thank you for sharing your loss by writing this book for us.
This beautiful book was clearly made with love. It has amazing photographs and poignant words that honor every dog. The perfect gift for a dog lover.
I gave this book as a gift to one of my friends who is a huge dog lover (like me!) She absolutely loved it! Thank you for this very special, from the heart book,
A friend introduced me to Jacqueline, who I discovered is a neighbor of ours. She shared her poignant story of Boris and the dogs she met in her daily life. Dog people know there are no truer friends than our canine companions. Jacqueline has captured the love, sensitivity, humor and devotion of these dogs through her beautiful photography and her poetry. I bought this book for myself and then again for a friend who is still mourning the loss of her companion a year later. There is even a place in the back of the book to add your own dog tributes and memories. "Remember Me As Sunshine" is a book that honors the human-canine bond in a most tender way.
"Remember Me" was a gift from my wife and best friend when we lost a much-loved member of our four-legged family. I thought it would put another friend's loss into perspective on losing one of theirs. While the grief may not heal any quicker, we so often forget to treasure the moments of love and laughter that bind us to our dogs. Thank you for a place to put those memories; a place to return to when the grief sits heavy in our hearts.
A most touching and poetic book. I shed a tear.
Tender. Insightful. Lovingly crafted. This book is the perfect gift for any dog parent grieving the loss of their fur baby. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!
This book is BEAUTIFUL! Each page is lovingly crafted, beautifully photographed and full of personality. Jacqueline's dog Boris was one of my favorite animals in the world, and his loss was devastating. I gave this book to my friend who had lost a beloved pet and she treasures it. Anyone who's ever loved a dog will feel this book deeply.
Someone gifted me this book when our beloved Chica died. It perfectly recalls our connections to our dogs in a beautiful and authentic way. It evokes deep emotions, expressed in ways we may not be capable of, yet it isn't corny or maudlin. I've ordered two for friends. Well done!
Just received a copy of this from the authors sister, a good dance friend of mine! We had just lost our beloved golden cream retriever, Baxter. She thought it would help with the understanding , and did it ever!
He was 11 years old and we had him since he was 4 months old. We were devastated, although we knew this would happen Baxter took a turn for the worse and we had to put him down. It was heartbreaking but I couldn’t watch him suffer. He told us it was “his time” when he refused to eat and take his meds. I know he’s watching over us and I’ll see him again at the rainbow bridge one day, along with all my other pets. This book made me laugh and cry and I’ve reread it 3 times. Although I’ve lost my best friend, this book really helped the process. Thank you!
My best friend wrote the best book about the love and beauty of the dogs who surround our lives. This book is such an image of Jacqueline herself. As a young girl, she would pick wildflowers on the way to my house and give them to my mom. Her bedroom was painted yellow like the sun because she loved being outside. Jacqueline would help me care for my dogs as if they were her own. I’m so glad she got to express herself in this treasured book. Mary would be so proud!💛.
A beautiful book and an amazing tribute to all the wonderful dogs we have in our lives. Every dog lover would appreciate and love this book.
